Having arrived at Liverpool from Cadiz in 2010, Suso left the Reds for AC Milan five years later.

From the 2016/17 season, he’s been a regular inclusion in the Rossoneri’s starting lineup and since then has scored 17 goals and registered 24 assists in the league.

Earlier reports suggested the Merseyside club were looking at the option of re-signing the 24-year-old, but Italian website Calciomercato now claims the Premier League outfit are not interested in the Spain international.

Suso has a release clause of €38m in his contract at the San Siro and it’s claimed Jurgen Klopp’s side are unwilling to ‘submit proposals’ for the player or trigger his buyout clause.

Klopp signed Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City and he joins Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Divok Origi as the attackers in the squad at Anfield.

Calciomercato mentions Liverpool have ‘other plans’ to strengthen their attack, which is why they are not looking at the option of making an approach for Suso.

If what is mentioned in the report is true, this could the last season for Origi and/or Sturridge with their current employer.
