Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are the two contenders wanting to sign Achraf Hakimi.
Earlier reports indicated Inter Milan rejected PSG’s €60m offer as they continue to demand a fee around €70-75m for the right-back.
The Blues seemed to be ahead in the race to sign the 22-year-old, before the Ligue 1 giants took the ‘decisive lunge’ late on Monday. Sky Italia claim PSG are ‘ready to offer’ €75m for the ex-Real Madrid man, but so far, the proposal hasn’t reached the San Siro.
Hakimi’s agent Alejandro Camano had already hinted his client will leave Inter. Corriere dello Sport now state the representative is ‘expected in Milan this week’ to discuss the Morocco international, who is valued at €70m by the Serie A winners.
Chelsea are offering €55m plus Marcos Alonso in exchange for Hakimi and the report adds Inter hope to close the deal with the Champions League winners.
With Camano expected to hold talks with Inter this week, it remains to be seen whether or not Inter decide to accept Chelsea’s offer to sign Hakimi, or lean towards a PSG sale.
