With São Paulo always interested in bringing Lucas Moura back to the club, the news from the English media this week saying the player is leaving Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season got big coverage in Brazil.
Many local outlets ended up going after their own information on this case, and we now get to see an interesting story coming from Globo Esporte.
The website got in touch with Moura’s agent, Junior Pedroso, who confirmed that the player is not extending his contract with Tottenham.
The representative, however, claimed there are no negotiations with São Paulo yet.
Instead, he says the player is analysing approaches of clubs from the United States, England, Italy, Spain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Globo Esporte also features a story which says São Paulo are being ‘cautious’ about the situation.
They know Moura will first see what’s on the table, and in case he does decide to return to Brazil, then his former club will be his priority.
The player has been struggling with fitness this season, and only has 269 minutes played in 11 appearances for Tottenham, with no goals or assists so far.
