Simone Zaza is reportedly edging closer to leaving West Ham in the January transfer window, after failing to find the back of the net in 11 appearances for the London club.
The Italian international has been linked with a move to Valencia, whilst there have also been rumours of a potential return to Italy.
Zaza’s father Antonio, who is also his agent, has been addressing rumours about his potential West Ham exit in January on Italian website Tutto Juve.
Antonio insists Zaza isn’t returning to Juventus in January, as no one has informed him of the decision.
He said: “Why should he return to Juventus? We don’t know anything, I don’t know what to say.
“I’m not denying anything, neither confirming anything, I’m saying nothing has been disclosed to us. This is the reality of things, both me and my son don’t know anything. Nobody told us anything, why should I say a lie?”
Antonio added it’s an ‘honest truth’ that nobody has contacted them yet in an ‘official capacity’, and as things stand he is expected to stay at West Ham. We’d suspect there’s been some sort of contact in an ‘unofficial capacity’, given Antonio Zaza’s previous quotes.
Zaza hasn’t featured in the last four league matches for West Ham, and it shouldn’t be too difficult for Antonio to draw a conclusion from that.
