Right now, the West Ham transfer rumour mill is solely focused on one player, and that’s Nikola Milenković.
The news from Italy is that the Serbian is edging ever closer to a transfer to the London side, but various reports suggested there was a tiny bit more work left to be done before it could be made official.
Corriere dello Sport reckoned there was €2-3m in it, while Corriere Fiorentino believed it was just details after West Ham upped their offer to €16m.
Well, TuttoMercatoWeb, who were quick to suggest Milenković was all but a West Ham player on Monday, are backtracking a little bit, claiming it’s not quite done yet, and he’s currently training with Fiorentina.
They explain he ‘awaits the green light to leave for London’ and ‘trained regularly after missing the friendly matches at the weekend’.
Contacts between West Ham and Fiorentina ‘continue unabatedly to polish the last details’, but both clubs are ‘optimistic’ about the deal going through at around €16m + bonuses.
The final bits and bobs that need to be sorted, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, are ‘the commissions that player’s agents will have to receive to complete the operation’.
Nearly there…
