Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen to keen to bolster his attacking options at Liverpool this summer, and German star Mario Gotze is on top of his wishlist.
Gotze, however, doesn’t seem to be keen on making a move to Anfield, and that could force Liverpool to consider other alternatives.
Moroccan international Sofiane Boufal is reportedly an option for Liverpool, after an impressive season for Lille.
According to Spanish website AS, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are also keen on signing Boufal, but the Catalan giants are very serious.
Barcelona’s technical director, Robert Fernandez, has received excellent reports on Boufal, and has even traveled several times to France to watch him in action.
That’s not it, AS say Barcelona have also conducted talks with his agent, Moussa Sissoko (not the French footballer!), and talks are expected to continue as Sissoko agent landed in Barcelona yesterday.
However, whilst Sport Witness are aware there is Barcelona interest, Sissoko is not Boufal’s agent and it’s not him dealing with any potential move.
AS reckon Boufal is expected to cost €15-€20m, and the player would surely be tempted by Barcelona, even if it’s their bench. Several other clubs have been showing a strong interest and Boufal’s actual agent Yvan Le Mee informed Sport Witness a while ago that Tottenham were interested.
Boufal has 12 goals and 4 assists to his name this season in 35 appearances, and is highly rated in France.
