The Portuguese media has been showing some positivity regarding the latest links between Manchester United and Ruben Amorim.
Following an original report from The Telegraph this week, it was now a subject on CMTV, where many pundits discussed the possibility.
Some interesting comments are made by Diamantino Miranda, who used to play for Sporting. In quotes brought by Futebol365, he points out that Manchester United might actually be an interesting opportunity for the Lions’ boss.
“If it turns out, if it’s true, that Manchester United are interested in Ruben Amorim, there’s no shortage of money. And I think Amorim has all the conditions, not least because of what he’s already done, not least because he’s going to leave Sporting on a high note, and that’s often how you have to leave clubs.
In the same show, Record subdirector Vitor Pinto claimed it’s actually ‘good’ that Amorim is being linked to Manchester United, as after the unsuccessful talks with West Ham United, he’s now being considered by clubs who are a level above the Hammers.
It must be pointed out that the Portuguese media still don’t seem to have any information on the Red Devils’ interest in the coach. The reason this subject had such importance in the show is that the story came from The Telegraph, with Pinto pointing out that’s a real source with real journalists and not some ‘pirate website’ or ‘tabloids’.
