Sam Allardyce saying he’s talked with Everton’s owner and will continue as manager of the club next season has been met with differing responses both within and outside of Merseyside.
Many fans would prefer a different manager for the next campaign, but Allardyce believes he’s done a good job and should be getting more credit for what he’s achieved since moving to Everton.
Over in Spain, local Seville sport newspaper Estadio Deportivo have taken the words with sincerity and believe it rules out Sandro Ramirez returning to the club so should make a Sevilla stay likelier.
Sandro hasn’t actually scored since returning to Spain, but has managed an assist in 443 La Liga minutes. What happens between now and the summer will be crucial in whether Sevilla want to keep him and whatever really low fee they’re prepared to offer for the striker.
After moving to Sevilla, Sandro gave several interviews in which he wasn’t exactly glowing about his time at Everton and in Liverpool, so a return never looked on the cards anyway.
This one could be a problem in the summer.
