The British press has linked Manchester United with a move for Rosario Central’s Juan Gimenez in the past few days.
The 18-year-old has already played 21 times for the Argentine club’s first-team and has become a key player for Argentina U20s national side over the past year or so.
The teenager could be a tempting signing for the Red Devils but Manchester United’s interest has now been refuted by Argentine outlet Pagina12.
They state that even though Rosario Central will have to sell players in their next transfer window, no negotiations have been held for Gimenez’s potential transfer.
The report is very clear that the club’s management has already ‘denied any offer or interest’ from Manchester United. While Rosario Central would be interested in the youngster’s sale to aid their finances, no concrete developments involving Manchester United or any other clubs have taken place so far.
The centre-back will be up for sale in the summer though, even if no price tag is mentioned.
