Brighton & Hove Albion’s Pervis Estupiñán has ended up on Nottingham Forest’s transfer agenda.

That’s at least what Bolavip are reporting, and they state the Reds are interested in the 26-year-old.

Nuno Espírito Santo has Harry Toffolo and Álex Moreno [on loan from Aston Villa] as the two left-backs at Nottingham Forest but has used Neco Williams in that position over the last month.

Therefore, Nottingham Forest are looking to sign a new left-back and the Brighton player is included in their list.

The Ecuador international missed Brighton’s first two league games of this season due to an ankle injury. Since then, he’s been a regular for the Seagulls, making 14 appearances in the Premier League.

Both clubs aren’t competing in Europe this season, but Nottingham Forest could have an opportunity to play in Europe next season.

Brighton are currently 10th in the table while Nottingham Forest have climbed to third spot. The report claims the fullback could leave Brighton to join Nuno’s side.

Estupiñán’s contract lasts until 2027 and he’s valued at €30m, which, as per the report, is ‘achievable’ for Nottingham Forest. The report indicates the Reds are showing interest in the South American for next season and not for the winter market.

This claim hasn’t been backed up in England or by other outlets in South America so far.
