Brighton loaned Abdallah Sima to French side Brest in the summer transfer window. It was his fourth loan stint away from the club, having spent time at Stoke City, Angers and Rangers.
The ongoing stint at Brest is now bearing fruit, with the Brighton player having grabbed a brace for the club in their 4-1 win over Nantes at the weekend.
Ouest France have looked at the 23-year-old and his time at the French club so far and they hail him a ‘luxury supersub’.
The report notes that Sima is a ‘top-class striker’ who boasts a lot of pace that can be useful during transitions.
Following the match, he was asked about his burst of pace and the Brighton loanee responded:
“Frankly, I don’t pay attention to that, what matters to me is the goal. I know that I have already been caught at 34 km/h but there, I don’t know. The most important thing is to give it my all and score.”
The 23-year-old has scored six times from 15 games all competitions already. Three of those six goals have come in the UEFA Champions League.
Those numbers clearly show that his stint is going really well and considering how he got to 16 in all competitions for Rangers last season, his goal should be to cross that mark.
Brighton will surely be watching closely.
