Tottenham Hotspur haven’t had the start to the Premier League season they will have desired, and Europe hasn’t been flawless either.

Ange Postecoglou’s side currently find themselves in tenth position. That quite clearly will not have been part of the plan but they’re only three points away from the top four so there’s clearly a way to get back on track quickly.

Ahead of the season there’d been a lot of excitement about Lucas Bergvall and what the youngster could add to the Tottenham team. The 18-year-old has only been able to show flashes but given the size of the step up he’s made, and his very young age, that was to be expected.

Bergvall has spoken to the Swedish media repeatedly this week, and Fotbolldirekt are now carrying quotes from him.

Asked about his Tottenham Hotspur experience so far, the youngster is quoted as saying: “It has been good, but also a bit up and down, of course. It has been tough and many matches, a lot of rotation in the team and mixed results.”

Bergvall is hopeful of appearing for Sweden in their upcoming matches against Slovakia and Azerbaijan, and on that he said: “There are two important matches where we must take six points and win the group. It’s incredibly fun to be back and we’ll see where it leads.”
