Manuel Ugarte’s supposed move to Manchester United doesn’t appear to have taken any great leaps forward, with the claims from both South America and Europe pretty similar to what they were a week ago.

The player wants the move, that’s been reported endlessly. PSG are trying to push the figures higher than Manchester United would like, with an initial loan possible, which has also been reported endlessly.

Corriere Fiorentino is also living Groundhog Day.

In their Tuesday edition it’s explained Fiorentina are having an ‘arm wrestle’ with the market. One of their issues is Sofyan Amrabat, who has reiterated his desire to leave, and that he wants to go to Manchester United, but has also made himself available to La Viola.

The same article repeats that Fiorentina like Victor Lindelof, but it doesn’t appear that they’re keen on paying too much, or anything really, for him.

Meanwhile, there doesn’t appear to be any major advances with Napoli’s interest in Scott McTominay.

For the past few days the Italian media has been reporting the interest, supposed asking price, and the midfielder’s desire to only move to the Serie A club.

However, there’s not really any advance and that and even the part about McTominay’s desire is something the Italian media will say about almost every player who has the chance to move to the country.

A bit of a lull, then.

Maybe it’s the calm before the storm
