The Italian media is today again speaking about the race for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

This time, it’s Corriere dello Sport who talk about the player’s desire to leave Spurs this summer, while AC Milan see him as a good target.

What the newspaper makes very clear is that Hojbjerg himself is the one ‘planning to leave’ Tottenham in the coming months, as his agents have spoken to ‘several clubs’ already.

It’s claimed that even though there’s still one year left on his contract with Spurs, his time there is ‘virtually over’, with him looking for a ‘new home’. He’s said to be keen on playing in the Champions League next season, and the London side can’t offer him that.

Milan are looking for a midfielder of his profile, and it turns out that Hojbjerg ends up being a very affordable signing, as he’d cost €20m.

What the Rossoneri need to know is that they wouldn’t be alone in the race, as the likes of Napoli and Juventus have been interested in the player as well.

If that’s really the situation, then it shouldn’t take long for Tottenham to start receiving some offers on their table.

There’s also been links with Turkish clubs, but the figures mentioned there were much lower than €20m.

Hojbjerg was named Man of the Match by Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet after his performance against England, getting 9/10.
