French football writer Ignazio Genuardi today shares some news on Newcastle United’s transfer plans.
His report on Twitter claims that as the Magpies are focused on reinforcing their squad this summer, they’re keeping a close eye on the English market, and may stay within the Premier League to go after their reinforcements.
It’s said that besides Newcastle’s well known chases for Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo and AFC Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly, they’re also interested in Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.
For now, there’s no big information on how much the Magpies would like to spend to sign the 24-year-old, and it doesn’t really sounds like they’ve opened talks for the transfer yet.
Gibbs-White, who just had a season with six goals and ten assists for Nottingham Forest, has a contract with the Reds running until 2027, and is valued by Transfermarkt at €40m.
Genuardi also talked about players who could be on their way out of Newcastle this summer, pointing out that Bruno Guimarães is wanted by Manchester City, while Alexander Isak is pursued by Arsenal.
