Arsenal ‘have a great chance’ of luring Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna this summer as they have the money and the style of play to convince him.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say while the striker would like to remain in Italy, there is every chance Arsenal could tempt him away.
The newspaper explains that while Italian football are hoping the Dutchman will stay and play for Bologna, Inter Milan or AC Milan, the reality of the situation is different.
And that’s because there is a ‘real threat’ from the Premier League, where Arsenal are big admirers and there are several teams interested in him.
The Gunners ‘have a great chance’ of getting the striker, though, as they can spend the money required to convince his club into a sale and have a ‘perfect style of play’ to convince the striker as well.
They’re yet to make a serious move and it seems there could be competition as well, but the idea is there, and Arsenal have a shot because of those two factors.
This is the latest in a growing list of suggestions that they will make a move too, with it explained earlier this week that they were getting serious and had put an offer on Kia Joorabchian’s table.
That followed reports of them making actual efforts in a similar vein and that their ‘great charm’ could talk Zirkzee into moving to the Emirates.
It’s all very positive and while it seems some work will be needed, there is a deal there to be done for Mikel Arteta and co if they want it.
