Multiple Premier League clubs will this summer be hoping those in charge of Saudi Arabia’s football league turn their attention to their squads.
The chance to get rid of ageing and declining players for good fees, and better players for very good fees, is attractive. Multiple clubs have been experiencing financial constraints in recent months and a pile of cash from Saudi could help calm some worries.
However, that certainly doesn’t mean that every approach from there will be met with joy by Premier League clubs. And that’s almost certainly the stance Manchester City will have with Kevin De Bruyne.
Journalist Rudy Galetti, who has been following the Saudi market since it all started to go wild, says Al-Nassr are still interested. ‘The Saudi negotiator’ is set to make contact again, presumably trying to tempt De Bruyne’s camp before speaking to Manchester City.
Other clubs could also become interested.
