Currently on a loan spell at Juventus, Southampton midfielder Carlos Alcaraz currently has an uncertain future.
Even though the Old Lady have a €50m buying option to keep him, it’s no shock they are not expected to use that, and could try other ways to find a deal with the Saints.
To talk about this topic, outlet TuttoJuve interviewed Alcaraz’s agent, Sebastian Lopez, who explained the current situation.
Besides claiming that the player is fine in Turin, willing to get as much game time as possible, the representative was also asked about the clause that Juve have to buy him from Southampton.
“I cannot give details about the contract that has been signed, but I can say that the greater the attendance, the more the values will decrease.”
Regarding Juventus’ decision to buy him or not, Lopez claimed the Old Lady do not have the last word yet.
“I have no news yet about Charly’s future, Juve are is busy finishing the season well and reaching its goals. This will be a topic to be dealt with soon”
Lopez was even asked if Alcaraz would be ‘happy’ in case Juventus reach a deal with Southampton for a new loan.
“He will always be happy, he is very proud of the club’s interest and the project he is part of.”
Alcaraz is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €15m. He joined Juve in January, and had an injury stopping him from having the ideal playing time in Italy. That’s why he only has six appearances so far, and currently fights to prove himself there.
