Juventus star Federico Chiesa has an offer to move to Liverpool, according to claims from the Italian media today.
Outlet TV Play features an interview with journalist Fabio Santini, who ended up commenting on several transfer businesses ahead of the summer window.
The pundit was asked about the moves that Juventus could make in the next market, and with Chiesa being one of the candidates to get sold, Liverpool are pointed out as a potential destination.
“What does Juventus do? They might sell Chiesa and not Vlahovic as is being rumoured. There are offers on Chiesa from the Premier League bigwigs, particularly Liverpool,” said Santini.
“By selling Chiesa they bring home around €40-45m, with that amount Juventus can go and knock on Retegui’s door, who should not be seen here as a duplicate of Vlahovic, but if anything as his sidekick. Here too, Juventus will have to do, as they say in Milan, the servant’s accounts.”
Liverpool’s chase for Chiesa is a story which has been going on for a long time, and last month, we’ve seen a couple of reports from the Italian media saying this chase is still on.
It’s been claimed that the Reds are ‘particularly attentive‘ to the player, and their interest ‘has not waned’.
Chiesa is indeed one of the biggest candidates to leave Juventus in the summer, as they may make enough money to stay in a comfortable financial condition throughout the transfer window.
It just remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp’s departure would have any impact on that decision.
