Manchester City are interested in Flamengo midfielder Lorran, according to reports from Brazil.

The information comes from journalist Jorge Nicola, who claims that the youngster hasn’t accepted his club’s last offer for a contract renewal.

Manchester City are said to be keeping an eye on the situation, and even though other clubs are also interested, they may have an advantage.

Lorran is currently protected by a €50m release clause, but there’s a much lower price for Brazilian sides, and since the City Group have Bahia in the South American country, they could be used as a bridge for the player to arrive at other clubs from the group.

Flamengo are trying to give Lorran a new deal to change those clauses, but haven’t been able to achieve that so far.

His contract only expires in December 2025, so there’s plenty of time for them to do that.

Now in case Manchester City do use Bahia to trigger the clause, that could change the whole scenario, especially because of the benefit they would have against other Premier League clubs who are also said to be interested in the 17-year-old.
