Liverpool lead the race for the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers star Rayan Aït-Nouri, according to reports today.
The claims come from Algeria, where La Gazette Du Fennec features a piece highlighting the big race there is for the 22-year-old.
It’s said that several Premier League clubs have been interested in Aït-Nouri, and Liverpool are actually the ‘most serious’ candidate to get him from Wolves.
The report claims they want a ‘real left-back’ to support Virgil van Dijk, and even though Jürgen Klopp is set to leave the club at the end of the season, he ‘validated his profile’ with the Reds’ management.
Liverpool should just be aware of the big competition there will be to sign Aït-Nouri, because other clubs such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all said to be watching him as well.
Still, the Reds are labelled as the ‘most determined’ to get a deal over the line.
It remains to be seen how much Wolves would demand for the player to leave in the summer.
He’s now valued by Transfermarkt at €32m, but an auction could certainly give them the chance to make more money, especially if that many big Premier League clubs are interested.
