Over his past few stints as a manager, José Mourinho has had to deal with a lot injuries at the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, and is now facing the same problem at AS Roma.
At the Serie A side, the Portuguese tactician has been without Chris Smalling for most of this season, who has joined Tammy Abraham and Marash Kumbulla in the long-term absentees.
Recent claims in the Italian media have said the former Tottenham manager isn’t pleased with Smalling’s refusal to use painkillers or anti-inflammatory therapies.
Italian journalist Tony Damascelli has been critical of Mourinho’s way of handling injuries and used his record at Tottenham to make his point. He made this claim to Radio Radio, relayed by Giallorossi.net, and suggested the coach is repeating his past mistakes at Roma.

Mourinho was in charge of the north London club from November 2019 to April 2021, and during his time there, he had publicly talked about Spurs’ bad luck with injuries.
Ange Postecoglou took charge of the Premier League side in the summer and he’ll have to do without several players due to injuries for the upcoming fixtures.
