“I’m enjoying it” – Player delighted with Leeds United exit, talks about ‘aspirations’

Marc Roca left Leeds United in the summer window, a year after joining them from Bayern Munich on a permanent deal.

The Whites allowed the midfielder to join Real Betis on a loan deal and he’s enjoyed a good start to his temporary spell with the La Liga side.

The Leeds owned player has managed a goal and an assist from eight league games, and both the goal and assist came in Real Betis’ win over Valencia on Sunday.

After the tie, the 26-year-old spoke to Onda Cero’s Radioestadio, and explained he’s already adapted well to the club.

“[I’m] very happy. I’m having a good time, I’m enjoying it [at Real Betis],” he said.

Last month, Real Betis sporting director Ramón Planes insisted Roca was desperate to join his side in the last window. The former Espanyol man has also stated he handled his temporary exit from Elland Road very well.

On September 14th, Estadio Deportivo reported the Spaniard is showing desire to join Real Betis on a permanent transfer after this season.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side have three wins from eight league games and Roca insists he and his current teammates have to focus on improving the results.

When asked about Real Betis’ ‘aspirations’ this season, Roca explained: “We like to dream big, but we know that we have to stay with our feet on the ground. The season is very long and demanding.”
