AFC Bournemouth took Marcos Senesi from Feyenoord last summer and he was a regular for them, making 31 league appearances and three more in cup competitions last season.
The centre-back has a deal lasting until 2026 but wants to leave the Cherries in the summer window.
That’s according to Area Napoli, who state the Bournemouth defender’s profile is ‘unsuitable for English football’.
The report states this has seen the Argentine’s agent offer him to Napoli, who are in the market looking for a new centre-back, after selling Kim Min-jae to Bayern Munich.
Former Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli had looked at the defender in the past before deciding to bet on other players.
It’s said those who manage the 26-year-old would want him to ‘jump at the opportunity’ of joining the Italian champions in this window.
The website adds the option to play in Serie A has always been an ‘interesting prospect’ for Senesi, who would be ‘even happier’ to join a club like Napoli.
Area Napoli state Rudi Garcia’s side decision is still unknown, after they were offered an opportunity to sign the Bournemouth defender.
