AFC Bournemouth have become the latest club to join the race to sign Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey in the summer window.

That’s according to Sabah, who state the Cherries have made an ‘official offer’ of €12m to secure the right-back’s services.

It’s said the proposal tabled by Bournemouth was deemed ‘low’ by the Turkish club, which is why they turned it down.

Galatasaray took the Frenchman from Rennes in 2021. The report says they will have to pay 15% of the fee from his sale to the Ligue 1 side, which is why they want at least €20m to part ways with the 22-year-old.

Sabah adds the Istanbul club are not in a hurry to sell the fullback. Andoni Iraola’s side may have to meet their demands to sign Boey. Apart from Bournemouth, Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion have the player on their agenda.

Last week, reports from Turkey stated Galatasaray vice-president Erden Timur had made a trip to England to hold talks with the Gunners and the Seagulls over a potential deal for Boey.

Meanwhile, the player has already expressed his desire to make a switch to the Premier League in this window.
