Following a couple of weeks of claims stating Tottenham are interested in AS Roma’s Roger Ibañez, there might be someone at Spurs who could help his club out.
That man is Ben Davies, who spent a large chunk of last season playing at centre-back under Antonio Conte, and whose future remains a bit up in the air as a left-back with the impending arrival of Destiny Udogie.
This is why José Mourinho could try and lure him to AS Roma, if Leggo are to be believed, relayed by Corriere Giallorosso.
That’s where Ben Davies comes in, as the Tottenham defender is ‘liked’, as Mourinho knows him well from their time together at Spurs and ‘could be part of a hypothetical exchange’ with Roger Ibañez.
Something to keep in mind, especially after the London club were recently told that Juventus’ Bremer would cost upward of €80m.
Using Ben Davies to lower the requests for Ibañez could certainly work in Tottenham’s favour.
