Two days ago, Calciomercato reported AC Milan have presented an offer to Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson and aren’t ready to give up on him yet despite having a renewal offer from the Premier League side.
Friday’s Corriere dello Sport backs it up and then provide more details about the offers made by the Serie A side.
The 23-year-old’s deal expires at the end of this month and Arsenal are keen to retain him at the Emirates. At the same time, Milan are working to snatch the winger away from them.
It’s claimed Nelson has already reached a verbal agreement with the Gunners over a new deal worth €3.5m per year, but he hasn’t signed it yet, and Arsenal have confirmed on their official website today that the “negotiations are ongoing” for his renewal.
Nelson ‘has not yet decided’ even though Mikel Arteta’s side are confident he’ll sign a new deal at the Emirates. In the event he ends up at Milan, he’ll take the non-EU slot in their squad.
The attacker was restricted to less than 600 minutes of action from 18 games last season, where he managed three goals and three assists in the process.
