On June 8th, Vatan reported Rangers have made an offer to Fenerbahçe to try to bring Bright Osayi-Samuel to Ibrox in the summer. It was also stated the right-back is planning to leave the Turkish club.
Michael Beale’s side aren’t the only club chasing the 25-year-old, if a report from Fanatik is to be believed.
It’s stated Troyes have ‘challenged’ Rangers to land the defender and these two clubs have ‘started working’ to secure his services.
The Nigeria international has a deal lasting until 2025 and the report states he’s valued at €7m. The outlet’s subheading says the Yellow Canaries has received ‘2 offers’, likely from the French club and Beale’s Rangers.
There’s mono information on the amounts of the offers, and no clarity of whether Troyes or Rangers are currently ahead in the race to sign the player.
Another report from Fanatik explains that faced with the possibility of losing Osayi-Samuel, Fenerbahçe are searching for his potential successor in the market. It’s claimed Adana Demirspor’s Jonas Svensson has been identified as one of the targets.
Osayi-Samuel managed an assist from 38 matches last season for Fenerbahçe.
