German journalist Florian Plettenberg today brings interesting updates on Chelsea’s chase for a new manager.

The Sky Germany reporter has something to say about the Blues’ interest in Julian Nagelsmann, claiming there were ‘no concrete negotiations’ for the coach on Monday.

According to Plettenberg, there’s also a clash of opinions regarding who should take charge of Chelsea.

Because even though technical director Christopher Vivell is said to be ‘pushing’ for Nagelsmann, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali prefer a ‘more experienced’ coach for the job.

But there’s no final decision on this matter yet, with the journalist claiming the former Bayern Munich boss remains ‘in the race’ for the position at Stamford Bridge.

Since the sacking of Graham Potter, we’ve seen numerous rumours about who could replace him at Chelsea, with most stories naming Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, Mauricio Pochettino and José Mourinho as the main contenders.

Plus, there’s a chance Bruno Saltor could end up in charge at least until the end of the season.

As the club board worry about finding their new boss, the team prepare to face Liverpool in an important clash in London tonight.
