The La Liga side not only lost the Brazilian, but also Jules Kounde, who moved to Barcelona. Now, as reported by AS, those exits were also ‘very expensive’ for a club who could not replace them properly.
It turns out that the La Liga side can’t even get jealous when looking at Aston Villa, since the Premier League side haven’t been able to make much use of Diego Carlos so far.
The Villans spent €31m to sign the Brazilian last summer, but it only took two games for him to get injured and miss several months this season.
The Brazilian, however, was on the bench at Aston Villa’s match against West Ham at the weekend, and should soon be able to show why Sevilla regret his departure.
