Everton’s poor goalscoring record in the league this season has seen them struggle and sit in the relegation zone.
The Merseyside club wanted to improve the situation in the winter market and made efforts in signing Udinese’s Beto. Their approach wasn’t entertained by the Serie A side.
A week ago, Udinese chief Pierpaolo Marino revealed his side had turned down a ‘huge’ offer from Everton for the striker in January.
The 25-year-old isn’t the only player from the Italian club the Toffees failed to sign. They also weren’t able to get the deal over the line for Rodrigo Becão.
Marino had earlier admitted that Udinese could see the two players leave the club after this season.
Recent claims in Italy have stated Sean Dyche’s side are still interested in the duo for the summer window.
On February 23rd, Tutto Udinese explained Everton are ready to offer €35m for both Beto and Becão.
