If all the media reports over the past couple of months are to be believed, then Newcastle United will make a move for Adrien Rabiot in the summer.
The Frenchman’s contract at Juventus is set to expire in the summer, and the midfielder, despite his club’s desire to keep him, is expected to leave.
That’s what Gazzetta dello Sport say about the Newcastle target, who has slowly become a ‘leader’ in Max Allegri’s squad in Turin.
With him leaving and Paul Pogba struggling with fitness issues, the Serie A giants should turn their attention to Sergio Milinković-Savić, currently at Lazio.
The Serbian midfielder has also been linked with Newcastle since the PIF takeover, but with clubs such as Arsenal also lurking, we’ll have to wait and see what comes of that particular route.
Either way, circling back to Rabiot, it’s said he will ‘most likely welcome richer offers from the Premier League’, where he has already said he would love to play.
That means Newcastle need to make him an appealing offer to stand a chance, but with no transfer fee involved, that shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
