It seems Ligue 1 side Auxerre were successful in their talks to sign Siriki Dembele from AFC Bournemouth.
Earlier this week, we had already covered reports from France claiming that with the club trying to escape relegation, they were doing big efforts to get their squad reinforced.
That’s when they began talks with Bournemouth to sign Dembele on a loan, as the player still hadn’t started any games for the Cherries.
It’s claimed the medicals are ‘in progress’, with the player ready to confirm his move to France.
The report doesn’t confirm if Dembele is joining Auxerre on a loan deal, although this is indeed the most likely scenario.
The winger had joined Bournemouth on a €2.6m deal from Peterborough in January 2022. But so far, he’s been unable to get much playing time at the clubs, getting only two goals and two assists in 22 appearances.
Now the Cherries could watch him feature in France and decide what to do to him next summer.
