On October 28th, journalist César Luis Merlo explained that Brighton & Hove Albion had made a new bid to sign Rosario Central’s Facundo Buonanotte.
He also stated the Seagulls’ proposal includes £5.2m fixed plus £5.2m bonuses. In addition to this, the South American club will receive 20 percent of the fee from the 17-year-old’s future sale.
Later that day, La Capital explained that ‘something extraordinary’ would have to happen for Brighton to not sign the midfielder.
These reports are confirmed by the Argentina U20 international’s representative, Roberto San Juan, who adds the Premier League side are keen to have his client soon.
The agent also went on to make claims to Radio Fútbol Club, where he stressed that the Argentine club are closing the details for Buonanotte’s sale to Brighton.
“In the negotiation there are objectives and a 20% capital gain, which is very important because if Facu does well, Central could receive very good money from the next sale,” Roberto San Juan explained.
“We sat down the clubs in Madrid and now I imagine that they are closing the numbers. Facu has his feet on the ground. Reaching the Premier League is the dream of any boy of that age.”
Buonanotte’s agent also went to reveal that apart from Brighton, he received approaches from other top European clubs for his client.
“Juventus, Salzburg, Atlético Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Inter, Liverpool, Tottenham and the Manchester City group also asked about Facundo,” San Juan concluded.
