The Spanish media are now sounding confident that Valencia could bring back Bryan Gil from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Following reports from Italy claiming the talks for the move ‘accelerated’, outlet El Desmarque now comes up to say how this operation has always been ‘priority’ for the La Liga side.
The report still points out that things are moving slowly, as Gil’s salary takes half of what Valencia can spend due to the Financial Fair Play, but it’s all getting closer.
The intention is to sign him from Tottenham on a loan, regardless of having a buying option or not.
There’s even a ‘hurry’ for the signing, even though the financial situation still makes it difficulty.
The Mestalla side had already managed to afford Gil’s salary when having him on loan for a few months last season, but repeating the operation for a nearly whole year is considered to be a lot more difficult.
In case Valencia fail to land Gil from Tottenham, then they have a Plan B.
That’s Timothy Weah, from Lille, but that will depend on how the rest of the window will go.
