Fulham are interested in a deal for SC Braga’s Al Musrati but need to up their offer for him if they are to get a deal over the line.
That’s according to Record, who say the ‘flirt is far from becoming a marriage’ as Fulham are yet to make a ‘concrete proposal’ for the Libyan international.
They explain that Fulham made approaches to the Portuguese club via a representative to find out how much it would cost to sign him.
In the meanwhile, they also pursued a deal for Sporting Club de Portugal’s Joao Palhinha but realised they could not match their demands, so then turned their full focus to Al Musrati again.
They are now planning to ‘tighten the siege’ in the coming days and know that they will need to ‘open the purse strings’ to convince Braga into a sale.
Record say that the Portuguese side will only accept a deal that goes above €16m, but whether the Cottagers will go that high remains to be seen.
His future appears to be in the Premier League, though, which will fulfil a dream for him personally.
It is not true, however, that Al Musrati has been in London this week to discuss a deal with Fulham as he has, in fact, been on vacation to his home country, according to the report.
Wolves have also shown an interest in the player but have other priorities, namely the aforementioned Palhinha.
