Barcelona will be ‘very attentive’ to Leeds United’s final day battle to stay in the Premier League as they eye a move for Raphinha.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who say the Catalan giants could save as much as €30m on the Brazilian if Leeds are relegated.
They explain that Barcelona have chosen Raphinha as the man they want to reinforce Xavi’s squad and have been eyeing up a move for some time.
However, much will depend on whether the Whites are able to stay in the Premier League, as relegation would make the player more ‘accessible’ in every way.
If, though, Leeds manage to escape the drop, then his price will ‘rise sharply’ to around €50-55m, a significantly higher fee for the La Liga side to pay.
Raphinha, personally, would prefer to save Leeds from the drop and leave them as a Premier League club, even if that means making a move to Barcelona more difficult.
He wants to play at the Camp Nou but wants to leave in the right way, even if his big suitors are hoping to save a fortune via relegation.
