There was a really weird article reporting Sunderland’s interest in Florin Andone that we covered last week. Calcio Mercato claimed that the Black Cats would be keen on the player, despite no having any convincing information to back it up.
As the striker has just signed for Deportivo La Coruña this summer, we thought it would be a bit hard to see him moving out of the club so soon.
And that’s what the player confirmed in an interview to Spanish newspaper Marca today.
“I’m very happy here. I don’t think of moving abroad. The Premier League doesn’t attract me. Right now I’m in the best club in the world because I’m very comfortable.”
Andone has been impressing at Deportivo with five goals and two assists this season. The links always seemed quite random and the originally story was very brief indeed, and it looks like it’s dead already.
