Three Premier League clubs are interested in the signing of Sampdoria defender Omar Colley, according to reports from Italy today.
Website SampNews24 claims that Leeds United, Newcastle United and West Ham United are all ‘monitoring’ the player, who could leave his club this summer.
The outlet claims his future is ‘uncertain’ since he’d be an ‘excellent’ sale for Sampdoria this summer. His transfer would allow the Serie A side to invest on other targets.
It’s said that club president Massimo Ferrero ‘won’t make discounts’, and that means Leeds, West Ham or Newcastle will need at least €10m to sign the defender this summer.
However, there are few details on how far the contacts with the clubs from Elland Road, London Stadium and St James’ Park have gone.
The clubs are said to be ‘following the steps’ of the 28-year-old, so it doesn’t sound like any of them are engaged in serious contacts for now.
Leeds and the Hammers had already been linked to Colley last year, with claims from Italy already saying it’s the player’s wish that will be decisive for a summer move.
