Chelsea’s Mario Pasalic has managed to turn around his career at AC Milan, after his initial struggles at the club.
The Croatian midfielder has featured more regularly recently, and AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella has been left impressed by his performances.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport on Wednesday, Pasalic’s future lies between AC Milan and Chelsea, which seems obvious.
AC Milan don’t have the option to make the deal permanent, but have the right to first refusal on the Croatian midfielder.
Pasalic will cost AC Milan €200,000 during his loan spell, but Gazzetta say the more games Pasalic plays for the Serie A club, the less they have to pay Chelsea.
Gazzetta say Chelsea wanted to make sure Pasalic plays more often at AC Milan, and continues his development, and that’s why they structured such a loan deal.
An evaluation on his future is expected at the end of the season, and it’d be interesting to see if Antonio Conte believes he could contribute at Chelsea in the future.
The structure of the loan agreement is beneficial for Chelsea, and good work from Michael Emenalo’s department. Chelsea often get good loan fees for their players in comparison to other Premier League clubs.
