As Liverpool’s defensive woes became even more serious towards the end of the January market, they moved for signings, bringing Ozan Kabak in from Schalke.
The 20-year-old was signed on a loan deal, pushing back the possibility of a permanent transfer for the summer. Despite there being widespread belief the youngster has a lot of talent, to add to his relatively good experience, he’s struggled for the Reds as Jurgen Klopp’s side have continued their poor season.
Should Klopp feel he needs a permanent signing in the summer, after other defenders have returned from injury, then there’s a chance Kabak won’t be the man chosen.
There’s every chance Milenkovic would cost a similar amount to Kabak, so it could be an interesting choice for Liverpool. However, it’s to be noted the Reds would face competition from Premier League and Serie A clubs.
