Spanish outlet AS on Friday had a pretty long piece on Facundo Pellistri.
Loaned by Manchester United until the end of the season, the youngster is expected to be of big help for the Spanish side to avoid relegation, and that’s why he’s called their ‘great hope’.
Since Pellistri still couldn’t be seen in action, AS made a big introduction of what he can bring to Alavés, as they apparently have a spot in the team waiting for him.
The 18-year-old is said to be the type of player who’s ‘in extinction’, because as most clubs now use left-footed players on the right, who cut inside and shoot, the Uruguayan is the old school right-footer who plays on the right to simply create chances.
The story explains that Alavés currently play in a 4-4-2 system, and with Pellistri having the characteristics of a starter, he should soon have the right-wing role for himself.
In short, Alavés seem to have big expectations of what Pellistri can do for them in these few months he’ll have at the club. That should be good news for Manchester United, who wanted the player to get some first team experience in Europe and now have him fighting for serious objectives in Spain.
