After a disappointing first year at Everton, Moise Kean now finds himself out on loan at Paris Saint Germain looking to get things back on track.
That’s something he’s doing a fine job of so far, with six goals and one assist meaning he’s made a flying start to life in Paris.
We’ve already covered some of the praise that he’s been receiving in France, and L’Equipe have continued that today.
They report that Kean ‘convinces a little more’ with each of his performances, so much so that he is ‘gaining importance’ with those higher up the club.
So far the Everton man has proven to be the best reinforcement of the summer after just two months there, with his ‘often satisfactory performances’ helping to underline his ‘general contribution.’
Most importantly, though, he offers manager Thomas Tuchel something that he does not have in the rest of his squad.
That’s because he’s ‘capable of supporting his partners’ with excellent hold-up play, something neither Mauro Icardi nor Mbappé offer.
That’s led him to overtaking Icardi in the rankings, while there is also a suspicion he could overtake Angel Di Maria as well.
Whether that’s a long-term idea remains to be seen, but it seems Kean’s performances are causing a real stir in Paris, so much so that Tuchel is now seriously considering changing his team to make him a regular starter.
Indeed, L’Equipe’s stance is backed up by Le Parisien, who say Kean is ‘living again at PSG after long, painful months at Everton’ and is one of the ‘very few players who is having a blast in Paris right now’.
This is all good news for Everton, of course, who sent the player across the Channel for this very reason.
They’ll be hoping he can continue his fine form moving forward, particularly if PSG try and secure a permanent deal.
