Tottenham Hotspur are planning to make an approach for Real Madrid’s Lucas Vázquez.

This is according to Defensa Central, who claim to have exclusive information on the winger’s situation at the Santiago Bernabéu.

It’s claimed the Spain international could leave the La Liga winners this summer and Spurs are ‘willing to offer’ €16m to acquire his services.

He’s made only 10 starts in all competitions and has more appearances from the bench. The 29-year-old has struggled to impress, at least statistically, when given opportunities as he’s managed only three goals and two assists this season.

Zinedine Zidane has preferred Rodrygo ahead of the Spaniard on the right wing and with Marco Asensio recovering from a serious injury, Vázquez will struggle for regular playing time next season.

According to the report, the Real Madrid manager views the attacker as an important player in the squad, but not in the starting XI.

Despite the current situation, the player has informed Zidane he’s willing to stay and play anywhere, as long as the manager needs him.

Defensa Central states ‘it remains to be seen what happens to Lucas’ future as a Real Madrid player’, suggesting Vázquez’s situation at the club remains uncertain.

With Tottenham willing to make an offer for him, the forward could have an option to move to north London in search of regular opportunities.
