A couple of days ago, Italian website Calciomercato reported Chelsea could rekindle their interest in AC Milan star Alessio Romagnoli.
Antonio Conte reportedly isn’t convinced with his defence, and would want additions to his squad in the near future.
AC Milan, however, aren’t really keen on selling Romagnoli, and want to keep him for as long as possible.
The Serie A club have started the season strongly, and won against defending champions Juventus last night.
Shortly after the game, Romagnoli spoke to Premium Sport (via Tutto Mercato Web), and was asked about his future at the club.
He said: “I’m fine here, I’m fine and I hope to stay in Italy.”
Chelsea probably won’t be taking his comments too seriously should they genuinely be interested in signing him.
The Blues reportedly made an offer of €25m for Romagnoli during the summer, but that clearly wasn’t tempting enough for AC Milan.
