Last summer, Barcelona allowed Philippe Coutinho to join Bayern Munich on a season-long loan deal.
Prior to signing for the Bavarian club, Tottenham Hotspur showed late interest in taking the 28-year-old on a temporary deal.
Sport state Spurs wanted the Brazilian to lower his salary demands to take him on a loan deal.
However, he wasn’t willing to accept a pay cut and therefore the loan move never materialised.
The newspaper now claims the north London side are one of the clubs ‘interested’ in the former Liverpool man and their priority is to take him only on loan.
It remains to be seen if the playmaker is willing to lower his salary demands this time, after refusing last summer.
A loan option is being considered [without a mandatory purchase option] because it’s unlikely that Barca’s new demand of €70m [earlier it was €90m] will be met by any of the suitors. 
According to the report, Kia Joorabchian is set to have a meeting with Barca officials and the plan is to find a ‘solution’ for Coutinho.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham will be the ‘solution’ or not for the Barcelona owned player.
