Valencia youngster Ferhat Cogalan has caught the eye of several top European clubs, despite being just 14-years-old.
Cogalan is tipped to achieve great things in the future, but reports suggest it might be elsewhere.
According to Valencia based website Super Deporte, Cogalan traveled to England last week with his father and agent to meet Manchester United, and hold discussions. It’s a big story for the newspaper and is on their Monday front page.
His agent, Habib Antar, also represents Sofiane Feghouli, who recently signed for West Ham, but the Hammers are not in the race to sign Cogalan.
Cogalan is tied to Valenica until 2020, but it’s just a training contract, so it won’t stop him from signing for other clubs.
His father earlier revealed they have a proposal from Manchester United, but are in no rush to sign any deal.
“We’re in no hurry because Ferhat is in contract with Valencia until 2021. But when a club like Manchester United invites us, it is logical that we study the proposal, right?,” he told French website La Voix Du Nord.
Super Deporte say Manchester United are in pole position to sign Cogalan, and he and his family, will be listening to what’s on offer.
The 14-year-old managed 22 goals and more than 30 assists for level last season.
