Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz ‘can imagine’ himself playing at Chelsea, but the Blues are not the only club interested in his services.
That’s according to Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk, who reports that there are ‘already talks’ underway between Chelsea and Leverkusen about a move.
However, they are not the ‘one and only’ club in for the highly-rated midfielder, with the journalist claiming Manchester United and Newcastle United have also expressed an interest.
Havertz has established himself as one of the hottest prospects in world football this season, shining in the Bundesliga and racking up 15 goals and eight assists in all competitions so far.
He has subsequently been linked to every big club in Europe, with reports this week claiming Chelsea were very keen on a deal once they finalise a move for Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
Because of many requests. True: Kai Havertz can imagine to play for @ChelseaFC. True: there are already talks. But: @ChelseaFC is not the one and only Club for Havertz @realmadrid @FCBarcelona @ManUtd @FCBayern @NUFC

That was disputed in some corners, but Falk insists their interest is genuine and there have already been talks, although he doesn’t make clear if these are between Chelsea and Leverkusen, Chelsea and Havertz or both.
The Blues are not the only Premier League side to have been linked, with Manchester United long-time admirers.
Indeed, claims from Germany this week indicated they were ‘working hard’ on a deal for him and that Old Trafford was ‘definitely an option’ for him should he move this summer.
Falk confirms the interest from Manchester United in his latest comments, but also adds that Newcastle United are also in the running.
They are yet to be linked to Havertz this summer but have been linked with making a splash in the transfer market should their takeover by a wealthy Saudi Arabian investment group go through.
The prospective new owners are thought to be keen to make several high-profile signings and securing Havertz would undoubtedly be one such transfer.
