Often seen dipping their toes in the French market, West Ham could return to their favourite transfer resort this summer as they look to bolster their attack.
That’s what Le10 Sport are reporting on Monday, as they claim the Hammers are currently in talks to bring Amiens SC’s Serhou Guirassy to London Stadium.
Already interested in the striker in January, West Ham are reportedly ‘very keen’ to transfer him to England this summer, with ‘discussions currently underway between all parties’.
However, there is a stumbling block, and that’s the asking price the recently relegated side have placed on the 24-year-old: €15m minimum.
In fact, Le10 Sport even believe some within the French side are ‘whispering’ about €20m.
Either way, it’s made clear Guirassy will not be staying at his current club beyond the summer, as he ‘looks to go up a step’ and is searching for a challenge that will allow him to play and score goals.
Having already tried his luck in Germany with 1. FC Köln, England appears like the logical move, where West Ham aren’t the only ones after him.
Le10 reveal both Chelsea and Tottenham have asked about Guirassy recently, although they haven’t acted on it like the Hammers have.
Right now it appears to be advantage David Moyes and co.
