Watford have ‘several offers’ from Segunda División B sides for midfielder Jaime Alvarado this month.
Alvarado has been at Hércules CF since the summer of 2018 but has managed just 19 appearances and less than 600 minutes of football for the Spanish club in that time.
Earlier this month it was suggested that Watford were considering ending the loan spell prematurely as a result and it seems that it is the case.
According to Diario Información, Alvarado has ‘put an end’ to his assignment in Alicante and will not return to Rico Pérez.
Vicente Mir, Hercules head coach, had asked the player not travel to the tournament but Alvarado rejected that and will instead find himself a new club this month, having already said goodbye to his teammates.
Información now say that Watford ‘shuffles’ several offers from other Segunda División B sides for the youngster to continue his development in the league.
In the summer they had viewed his extended spell at Hercules ‘with good eyes’, a sentiment shared by Alvarado, as the player had been offered ‘prominence’.
That’s not turned out to be the case, though, with one of the significant issues being his continued call ups by Colombia.
That is an issue Watford will have to deal with when it comes to interested parties this month as they look to ensure that Alvarado’s career doesn’t stall before it’s even begun.
